Trust & Safety

What makes every ColiGo shipment safe

ColiGo connects strangers around a package — trust isn't declared, it's built with concrete mechanisms. Here, in detail, is what protects every shipment.

Verified identity before anything else

You cannot post a request, a trip, or contact another user without a complete profile and a verified identity. That's a requirement, not an option.

Two separate handoff codes

A code is generated when an offer is accepted and entered by the traveler when picking up the package. A second, different code is entered at the final handoff to the recipient. Each step is confirmed separately.

Reviews after every shipment

Senders and travelers rate each other once a shipment is complete. These reviews stay visible on profiles so you can choose with full knowledge before accepting an offer.

Prohibited items filtered by route

The list of prohibited or regulated items depends on the origin and destination — it is shown automatically before every post, to rule out problem shipments from the start.

Built-in messaging

All the communication needed to arrange a handoff happens in the app, without having to share your phone number or email with a stranger.

One-tap reporting

Suspicious behavior or a questionable listing? Report it directly from a conversation or a profile — our team reviews every report.

Blocking a user

Beyond reporting, you can block a user at any time so they can no longer contact you or see your listings.

In detail

How each mechanism really works

The overview above fits each mechanism on one card. Here's what's actually behind it.

Identity verification, step by step

National ID, resident card, passport, work permit or driving licence depending on your country: you upload the front, and the back if the document has one. Your status moves to "pending", then to "approved" or "rejected" with a specific reason. A new submission always replaces the previous one — one active verification per account.

The verified badge isn't identity verification

The checkmark visible on a profile can also come from an optional paid badge, meant to help you stand out — not to be confused with the mandatory identity verification, which gates posting and contacting, never the other way around.

Dual delivery confirmation

The second handoff code alone isn't enough: the sender and the traveler must each confirm the delivery separately in the app. The shipment only ends, and the conversation only locks, once both confirmations are in — no one can unilaterally declare a package delivered.

Trust levels, earned over time

Calculated from the number of successful deliveries, a bronze, silver or gold level shows on a traveler's profile. A new account shows no level at all — a more honest signal than a default badge that would mean nothing.

A report is never ignored

Every report sent from a conversation or a profile is reviewed by our team and marked resolved once handled. Depending on severity, the outcome can range from a warning to disabling the account and removing the listings involved.

Blocking, any time, no justification needed

Blocking someone immediately stops them from contacting you or seeing your listings. It is independent from reporting — you can block without reporting, and report without blocking.

What ColiGo's trust mechanisms don't replace

These mechanisms reduce the risk, they don't eliminate it, and they don't replace your own judgment. ColiGo remains a platform that connects people: it never takes possession of a package, guarantees no delivery, and is not a party to the transport agreement between the sender and the traveler. Reviews, verified profiles and photos before handoff exist precisely to help you decide who you deal with.
