Sending a package with a traveler, step by step
Entrusting a package to someone already making the trip — while keeping the verification, reviews and secure handoff that were missing to do it at scale. Here is everything to know before posting your first request.
Why send with ColiGo
What changes compared to a traditional carrier
- No ColiGo commissionThe amount you agree on with the traveler goes to them in full. ColiGo takes nothing from that agreement — credits only pay for using the platform itself.
- Verified travelers onlyA traveler cannot contact you or make an offer without a complete profile and a verified identity. You also see their rating and reviews before replying.
- Never your phone number or emailAll the discussion — route, terms, meeting point — happens in the app's built-in messaging.
- Handoff confirmed in two stepsOne code at pickup, a second at final delivery: each confirmed separately, by you and by the traveler.
The journey
From posting to the final review
The full, detailed step-by-step walkthrough is on the How it works page — here is the essential version, built for a first request.
-
Describe your package in a few minutes
Origin, destination, weight, category, and any special conditions (fragile, keep dry). A list of prohibited items specific to your route shows automatically before you post.
-
Compare several offers before replying
Verified travelers already making this trip contact you with an offer. Nothing obliges you to accept the first one: compare rating, reviews and trust level.
-
Boost your request if you need more visibility
With credits, push your request to the top of results for 7 days — purely about visibility, never a shortcut.
-
Agree on the amount, then hand over the package
You set the amount yourselves in the messaging. At pickup, a six-digit code confirms the handoff; a second, different code will confirm the final delivery to the recipient.
-
Rate your traveler
Once both confirmations are in, the shipment is complete and you can leave a review — useful for future senders, the same way other reviews were useful to you.
Do you ship often on the same route?
Save a recurring shipment template with the usual details (weight, category, recipient): ColiGo reminds you when it's time to post again, with the request already pre-filled — see also ColiGo Business for regular volumes.
